At the “2025 Award and Academic Promotion Ceremony” organized by our university, Res. Asst. Dr. Abdurahman Yasin YİĞİT—a graduate of our department’s doctoral program and currently a faculty member at the Mersin University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Geomatics Engineering—was honored with the “Best Doctoral Thesis Award“. He received this recognition for his dissertation titled “Photorealistic Digital Twin and Virtual Reality Integration“, prepared under the supervision of our faculty member Prof. Dr. Murat UYSAL.
The award and commemorative plaque were presented to our successful graduate by Prof. Dr. Şuayıp ÖZDEMİR, Vice Rector of Afyon Kocatepe University.
