Message from the Head of Department

Dear Students of the Department of Geomatics Engineering,

Continuing its educational activities since 1995, our department has produced thousands of graduates over its 29-year history. These graduates are successfully continuing their careers in the field of surveying and geomatics in both the public and private sectors. Each year, new students join our department within the quotas determined by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center). These students receive a high-quality education thanks to our strong academic staff and modern equipment infrastructure. Our department strives to take its educational responsibility further every day.

Our department houses four distinct laboratories to support educational and research activities: the Prof. Dr. Bayram Turgut Geodesy and Measurement Technique Application Laboratory, the Geographic Information Systems Laboratory, the Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing Laboratory, and the Cartography Laboratory. These laboratories are equipped with sufficient technical equipment to enable our students to conduct scientific research and develop their professional skills.

Our academic staff consists of 6 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors, 2 Research Assistants, and 1 Surveying Technician responsible for the laboratories. With this strong staff and infrastructure, our students step into their professional lives well-equipped. Upon graduation, they hold significant advantages in finding employment in academia, as well as in the public and private sectors.

Provided that they develop themselves, it is possible for our students to easily find positions in the most prestigious institutions both nationally and internationally.
